SNOW!!! Lots and Lots of Snow!!

We thought we were going to get a white Christmas...the Friday before Christmas, Connecticut prepared for a shut down. The trains were packed with people leaving work early to get home before getting snowed-in. Within just one hour, several inches of snow had already fallen. By the end of the storm, we had about 8 inches along the shoreline. Further from the coast the accumulation was much greater.

This was a fun evening - running around in the snow and watching Mac & Maggie deal with so much of 'the white stuff.' Maggie loved the weather and would simply lay down right in the snow. Mac, on the other hand, stayed under shelter and was hesitant to go out.

These pictures show just the first few hours of snowfall, or just the beginning of the storm.

Don't worry, by Christmas morning it was 50 degrees and the snow had melted away. Perhaps we'll have more snow this winter, but we won't complain if the temps get too high and Spring comes early!
