Simon Flies to Wisconsin! (Weeks 12-13)

Simon took his 1st plane trip to Wisconsin this July 9-20. He did great on the plane trips & had a wonderful time at Grandma Spilker's. He was able to meet most of the Spilker family and his great grandma Pieters! Here are Kim & Simon before heading to the airport -packed and ready for a great adventure.

During this visit, Simon grew so much. He started sucking his thumb....this is very helpful at night when Simon wakes up - he is able to soothe himself and fall asleep (unless he is hungry, of course).

Simon also became more interested in his toys - talking to them and grabbing at them. We couldn't keep him away from the Rainforest bouncy seat! Grandma has such cool toys! As soon as Kim & Simon arrived home, we ordered the same seat since Simon loved it so much :)

Simon also was able to see his mommy get sworn in to practice law in Wisconsin! This was a fun day because he got the tour where Kim went to college and where she worked at the Capitol. Here's a shot of four generations - Great Grandma Pieters, Grandma Spilker, Mommy & Simon.

All in all, the trip was great - good weather, great company, tasty home-cooked meals, and lots of hugs & smiles!
